Watercolour portraits from your photos
Gentle washes of colour, lovely for children, pets and couples.
Watercolour is the most delicate of our mediums. Light comes from the white of the paper, so a good watercolour feels fresh and airy, and no two washes ever fall quite the same way.
Your portrait is painted on heavy acid-free paper, building from the eyes and the face outwards. You can watch one come together in the red turban stages on our home page.
It's ready to dispatch in about 11 days. In India you can add a frame with mount and glass, and abroad it travels rolled in a tube, ready to frame where you live.

Light on a quiet wall
Framed with a mount and glass, a watercolour brings a soft, airy feel to a hallway or a small room.
The room is computer-generated, shown at about true scale. The portrait is a real painting from our studio.

Good to know
Is watercolour suitable for a family portrait?
Yes, for smaller groups. Our largest listed watercolour, 18 × 24 in, fits up to four people. For more, we'd suggest oil, or ask us about a larger sheet.
How should a watercolour be displayed?
Behind glass and out of direct sun. Choosing framed, in India, includes the mount and glass.
Can you match a particular colour?
Yes. Tell us the colours you'd like and your artist will show you in the preview.
