Build your portrait on the Start your portrait page, then send us the details and your photos on WhatsApp or by email. We confirm your quote, you pay 50% to begin, and your artist sends a sketch to approve within two or three days.

For one person, pencil or charcoal starts at ₹3,900, watercolour at ₹4,900, acrylic at ₹8,900 and oil at ₹10,900. The price depends on the medium and size, and each extra person or pet is added per subject. The Prices page lists every size.

Oil gives deep colour and soft skin tones, and suits heirloom pieces. Acrylic is vivid and crisp. Watercolour is light and gentle, and lovely for children and pets. Pencil and charcoal are timeless and the quickest to finish. Send us your photo and we'll tell you honestly which suits it best.

Think about where it will hang and how many people it holds. Each size lists how many people it fits, and the Prices page shows every size to scale in four rooms. If you're unsure, tell us the wall and we'll suggest a size.

Yes. We can combine up to five photos into one portrait, change the background or clothing, and add a loved one from a separate photo.

Yes, and we treat these portraits with particular care. One clear photo is enough, and we can place them beside family from another photo. Tell us about them, and what you remember of their colouring and expression.

Yes. Faded, creased and black-and-white photos are welcome. Tell us what you remember about the colours and we'll bring them back with care.

Clear, well-lit photos where each face is sharp when you zoom in, ideally taken at eye level in daylight. Phone photos are fine; screenshots and heavily filtered images are harder to paint from.

One clear photo of each person is ideal. If you have more, send them: they help your artist understand a smile or a likeness. We can combine up to five photos in one portrait, so for a larger group, send a group photo or ask us.

Yes. Your photos are seen only by the artist painting your portrait and the Maestraa team who check it, and they are deleted within 30 days of delivery unless you ask us to keep them. We never show your portrait in our marketing without your written permission.

The sketch is ready in two to three days. Drawings are ready to dispatch in about 9 days, watercolours in 11, acrylics in 16 and oils in 19. Delivery then takes 3–5 days in India and 5–8 days to most countries.

Choose express for 15% more and your final preview arrives about a third sooner. If you need it by a particular date, tell us when you order and we'll confirm whether we can make it.

You approve a sketch first and then the finished portrait from photos, with unlimited changes within your brief. If what arrives differs from the preview you approved, we repaint it free.

Yes, until you approve the sketch. Adding people changes the brief, so we quote it separately, at the per-person rate on the Prices page.

50% to begin and the balance after you approve the final preview. In India by UPI, card or net banking; from abroad by card or PayPal.

Yes, for any amount. The person you give it to chooses the medium and size and sends their own photo. Vouchers are valid for 12 months. Message us to buy one.

You get a full refund until the sketch is shared and 90% until you approve it. After you approve the sketch you can still cancel, but your 50% advance isn't refunded. Once the final portrait is done, the order can't be cancelled.

Yes, insured and tracked, with shipping included in the price. Paintings travel rolled in a tube, ready to frame where you live. Any import duties are paid by you.

In India you can choose gallery-wrapped (stretched, ready to hang) or framed. Abroad we ship rolled, which keeps the journey safe and affordable.

Every parcel is insured. Send us photos of the parcel and the piece within 48 hours of delivery and we'll repair or repaint it at no cost. If a parcel is lost, we repaint and reship it.

Yes. Every portrait is painted or drawn by hand, never printed and never generated by software. You'll see progress photos, and your portrait comes signed by your artist with a certificate of authenticity.

An artist who has passed our paid test portrait, judged on likeness, finish, communication and timekeeping. We match you with someone who works in the medium you choose.

Only with your written permission. The portrait is yours.
