Parents rarely ask to be painted, which is why it means so much when someone does it for them. A portrait marks a golden anniversary, a retirement or a milestone birthday in a way no other gift does, and it stays with the family for good.
We can work from a recent photo or an old one, and from black-and-white or faded prints. Your artist pays close attention to what makes a face familiar: the lines around a smile, the way someone holds their head.
If it's a surprise, we coordinate only with you.

- Approve the sketchPay 50% to begin. Your artist sends a composition sketch in two or three days. Ask for changes within your brief.
- Approve the portraitSee progress photos and a final preview, with unlimited revisions within your brief. Pay the balance after you approve it.
- Receive it, insuredWe inspect, pack and ship it, signed by your artist, with a certificate of authenticity.
Good to know
Can you paint them from an old photograph?
Yes. Faded, creased and black-and-white photos are welcome. Tell us what you remember about the colours.
Can you put my parents together from two photos?
Yes. We can combine up to five photos in one portrait.
Can you keep it a surprise?
Yes. We deal only with you, and the portrait can arrive gift-wrapped with a handwritten card in your words.
