Portraits in loving memory
Old or faded photographs, painted with tenderness.
Sometimes one worn photograph is all that's left. We work from old, creased and black-and-white prints, and from small faces in group photos, and we'll tell you honestly what's possible before you commit to anything.
Tell us about the person: the colour of their eyes, a sari they loved, the way they smiled. Those details guide the painting, and they matter as much as the photo.
We can also place someone beside family from a separate photo, so they can be part of a portrait they never sat for. You approve the sketch and the finished painting, and we go at your pace.

Somewhere you pass every day
A 16 × 20 inch portrait suits a quiet hallway, where you'll see it each time you come home.
The room is computer-generated, shown at about true scale. The portrait is a real painting from our studio.

Good to know
I only have one old photo. Is that enough?
Usually, yes. Send it to us as it is and we'll look at it before you decide anything.
Can you add my father to a family portrait?
Yes. We can paint someone in from a separate photo, in the same light and style as everyone else.
Can you restore the colours of a black-and-white photo?
Yes. Tell us what you remember and your artist will bring the colours back with care. You'll see them in the sketch and preview stages.
